Late Rome was the period 284-641 AD. With the fall of Rome as a central global power around 456AD along with a debasement of the currency, a hallmark of dating was the presence/absence of precious metals. While we don’t know the specific date of these amazing historical currencies, the presence of copper leads us to conclude they are much older than newer.
